Title: Predicate
Fandom: Northern Exposure, one of my all-time favorite TV shows. Joel Fleischman, a nerdy New York doctor, gets roped into being the resident town for tiny Cicely, Alaska, and gets terrorized by the residents (and a moose). It was intelligent, hilarious, and had some awesome characters. And, y'know, Rob Morrow.
Genre: humor/romance
Pairing/Characters: Joel Fleischman/Maggie O'Connell
Rating: PG
Summary:She's not going to tell him she still goes to Juneau for that medical conference every year. He's not going to tell her that he took flying lessons. Fleischman and O'Connell, together again.
A/N: A one-shot that takes place ten years after Joel's gone back to New York.

She was heading down into upstate New York.Collapse )
Title: Win the Battle, Lose the War
Fandom: The Fall, a totally and completely gorgeous movie with heart, humor, and Lee Pace. Roy, a stuntman in the early days of movie-making, tells a story to a young girl while they're both laid up in hospital. A very, very teensy fandom, but it deserves so much more.
Genre: romance/drama
Pairing/Characters: Roy, Alexandria
Rating: PG
Summary: He chooses his defeats, she makes his victories. Thirteen years later, the stories have changed.

All his life he's practiced offensive disappointment.Collapse )

Fandom: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid

Getting things off to a squelch...

Title: Playing at Pretend (1/1)
Fandom: Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. You've watched it. Haven't you? How can you not? One of the best Western movies, mostly because it doesn't come across as a Western. Written by the same guy who wrote The Princess Bride and has Paul Newman. What's not to like?
Genre: romance
Pairing/Characters: Butch/Etta, Sundance
Rating: PG
Summary: Butch needs a little help from a friend, and Etta's the only one of the right gender. They both forget what a good liar he is. Pre-movie.

He's wearing somebody else's hat...Collapse )
